India vs West Indies 2nd ODI Match Prediction, Dream 11 Prediction & Betting Tips, Odds and Live Score – 09 Feb 2022

Before the series began, the Windies weren’t considered favourites to beat India. For this series’ first match, however, they would have expected more than just a one-sided battle against England, the world’s most powerful team on the white ball. There are few chances for West Indies to make an impact in this short series, as only one match has been completed.

India vs West Indies 2nd ODI Match Prediction, Dream 11 Prediction

They’ll do anything to get back into the series in the next game, which is arguably the most important for both teams in the series. West Indies will be desperate to get back to winning ways, while India will be looking to close out the series. Make no mistake about it, this match is going to be a lot of fun.

Playing well here would also help you get noticed ahead of the IPL mega auction, which is expected to take place soon. On February 9th, 2022, the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium, Ahmedabad, will host the second one-day international between India and the West Indies.

IND vs WI Team Previews

For both fans and players, India’s recent ODI cricket history would have been something they wished to forget before their first match against West Indies. As a result of their mistakes, however, they were able to grow and improve as a team.

Having a new leader in place and a new-look bowling attack, India swung the bats right from the start. Early in the innings, the Indian spinners took advantage of the strengths of Mohammad Siraj and Prasidh Krishna by bowling to their strengths. Yuzvendra Chahal took three wickets in a short period of time after Washington Sundar had taken two wickets in quick succession for West Indies.

India’s performance was flawless from start to finish, despite having to chase a total of 177. In the chase, when India lost their fourth wicket, there was some uncertainty, but Suryakumar Yadav and Deepak Hooda both played flawless knocks, so the uncertainty was never really a threat.

There were more than just roses involved in India’s first outing. The ability to pick up the wickets of tailenders is one of the most critical issues they want to address as soon as possible, however. In the previous match, India had to wait a long time to get their eighth breakthrough, and they’ll be looking to improve on that in the future.

At the same time, it’s understandable why India prefers to play aggressively throughout the game; they’d rather be more responsible in their approach. India’s batsmen should be looking too close to the end of the game once they are set, and that is an area where improvement is needed.

Indians, despite not having their full-strength squad, have a perfect balance. When KL Rahul returns, the top of the order may be able to play more freely, especially in the first innings, because of his presence in the lower middle order. It’s difficult to predict who Rahul will replace, but based on recent decisions made by India’s think tank, Deepak Hooda may be the one to get the chop.

Overall, India have a solid team that covers all the bases. They need to address a few minor execution issues, but they have the resources to do so. As long as they take care of those issues and play to their potential on paper, India should be able to add another home win to their tally.

West Indies

Since the beginning of the year, the West Indies has been in a state of flux. At home, they lost 2-1 to Ireland in a series that was supposed to be a rout for them. Despite being the underdogs in the series, West Indies dominated the white-ball champions to win 3-2 and claim the T20I series victory for their home country.

West Indies will be hoping for a similar turnaround when they face India in the upcoming match. Although they were abysmal in the first match, they should be encouraged by the fact that their lower ranks showed some resistance.

Although they lost, West Indies should not be dejected. The fact that the West Indies were playing without a warm-up match or acclimatisation gives them a little bit of a leg up on the competition. They will have to deal with these issues sooner rather than later because there’s no escaping them.

West Indies’ batting performance on a sluggish surface was abysmal as they were bowled out for 176. Without the help of Fabian Allen and Jason Holder, they would have had a much lower final score. Despite their valiant efforts in the bowling department, they were unable to even trouble the Indians with their total.

On paper, West Indies’ inexperience at the top appears to be a concern. Being a little more cautious before going for the big ones may be the best way to deal with it. West Indies can only make full use of their players’ potential if they are able to play a full fifty overs. They’ll be a team to keep an eye on in the series if they can do that in the upcoming match without putting too many chips down.

It’s never easy to defend in a limited-overs format, but it’s even more difficult in a day-night match. In the first match, we saw how the surface became easier to bat on as the innings progressed, and the same is expected in the next. To put the chasing team under pressure, having a good number of runs in the bank can be a great asset. The captain who wins the coin toss is expected to field first in light of all that and the expected weather conditions.

Check out our toss prediction guide for more information on how we come to our conclusions.

There is something for both bowlers and batsmen at Ahmedabad’s cricket ground: a lush outfield, well-groomed surface, and reasonable-sized boundaries. After seeing spinners get involved right away in the game, we can expect them to have an even greater impact on tomorrow’s match given the weather. As the first inning progresses, the surface will become increasingly difficult to score on, but batting will become slightly easier once artificial lighting replaces the natural light. Later in the night, when the dew has settled, the surface will quicken and become the ideal surface for a night of batting practise. Spinners are likely to take advantage of the few dry spots that are expected to appear on the surface. If the team batting first manages to score less than 270 runs in the first innings, it will give the team chasing an advantage.

IND vs WI Betting Tips

Even if the importance of the bilateral series has diminished over time, it can still serve as a way to get the combination right and get used to the conditions. West Indies will be looking for their best players to adapt to the Indian conditions as soon as possible in anticipation of the World Cup being played there in 2023.

They appear to be a little too inexperienced right now and that was a major factor in the first game between these two sides. It appeared as though India had a better understanding of their own strengths and weaknesses than the United States. They would not only be brimming with confidence, but they would also have the advantage of playing at home. We’d bet on India’s victory based on that and the other factors listed above, and so should you.
