In our opinion, the two best teams from this season have made it to the IPL 2022 Final. The Gujarat Titans bypassed the knockout stages by winning their group and then defeating the Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 1. After defeating RCB in Qualifier 2, they will now face the same opponent in the Final.
Both GT and RR have faced off against each other this season, and GT has won both times. No matter which team wins, the best IPL bookmakers are currently offering identical odds for both of them to do so.
There is no doubt that this will be a close race as well. For the IPL 2022 Final, let’s take a closer look at the two teams and find the best betting markets.
GT vs RR IPL Final 2022 Predictions and IPL Betting Tips. The match will be held on May 29, 2022, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
GT vs RR Team Previews
After their victory in Qualifier 1, the Gujarat Titans have had four days of rest and are ready to go again. There is no reason to believe that their team will be different in the IPL 2022 Final; the same players are expected to return. Lockie Ferguson could be a viable replacement for Wade if a change is warranted here.
Qualifier 2 featured a lot of speed and seam movement, and the same can be expected in this match.
All three of these players are expected to take the lead in this match’s run-scoring. Fast bowling is no match for any of these three players, who are all currently in excellent form. So, yes, the other players will play a role, but GT needs someone to carry their bat through the innings like Buttler has for RR.
MIller vs Chahal is one of the match’s most important battles. So far against Chahal, Miller has scored 35 runs in 23 balls, but he’s also been dismissed three times. Against Ashwin, Boult, and Chahal, Hardik Pandya has a decent head-to-head record, so he could be a good bet to score runs.
There have already been seven last-over victories for GT, and their batters’ prowess in the midst of pressure is a huge advantage.
It will be Rashid Khan’s turn to be the centre of attention when it comes to bowlers. Jos Buttler was dismissed four times in 30 balls bowled by him for just 18 runs! In our opinion, this could be the game that determines the outcome of this match.
Mohammad Shami, Alzarri Joseph, Yash Dayal, and even Hardik Pandya should be able to benefit from the surface and be a challenge for the opposition to deal with. GT is on track to win the IPL title in just its first season!
Gujarat Titans Playing 11
Hardik Pandya (c), Wriddhiman Saha, Shubman Gill, Matthew Wade (wk), David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore, Lockie Ferguson, Yash Dayal, Mohammed Shami.
It’s clear that RR is a well-rounded T20 squad that is capable of coping with a wide range of situations. For the type of cricket played in Ahmedabad, the fast and seam-friendly conditions were ideal. Its batsmen took advantage of the pace of the new ball to hit numerous extras and assist its bowlers in their efforts.
It’s not just Jos Buttler’s stellar season that’s helping, either. With 824 runs and four centuries this season, Buttler has a good chance of breaking the record for most centuries in a single IPL season!! To beat Rashid Khan, he’ll have to play him out the same way he did the last time, which may be the case again this time.
When it comes to the RR team’s batsmanship, Yashasvi Jaiswal has been a standout, but without Buttler, they could find themselves in trouble. We wouldn’t rule out Ashwin coming in as a pinch hitter to help stretch out the lineup a tad.
While the batting lineups of these two teams are very similar, RR’s heavy reliance on Buttler is a little risky.
RR’s bowling attack will be critical in this game. During Qualifier 2, Prasidh Krishna was greatly aided by the help of the surface. In addition to the steep bounce and movement of the new ball, he has the potential to be back in the wickets. The quartet of Trent Boult, Yuzvendra Chahal, R Ashwin, and Obed McCoy is a formidable bowling unit.
RR is a little worried about Chahal and Ashwin after their poor performances in the previous two games. Now is the time for the team’s best spinners to step up and perform.
Rajasthan Royals Playing 11
Sanju Samson (c & wk), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler, Devdutt Padikkal, Shimron Hetmyer, Riyan Parag, Ravichandran Ashwin, Trent Boult, Prasidh Krishna, Obed McCoy, Yuzvendra Chahal.
GT VS RR TOSS PREDICTION
If the coin toss goes in favour of the winning team, we expect them to prefer to start the game. While RR chose to chase in Qualifier 2 as well, GT has a history of chasing down big totals in the final over. However, we don’t believe that’s a significant advantage to be seized upon.

Pitch and Conditions
There is no chance of rain on the day of the game, so we should be able to watch the IPL 2022 Final without interruption. The Narendra Modi Stadium’s pitch did not disappoint the last time it hosted a test match, providing a surface with bounce, pace, and help for both bowlers and batsmen.
This time, too, it should be the same. We believe that RCB’s poor form, rather than a change in the conditions, is to blame for the ease of batting in the second innings of the previous match.
On this surface, a score of around 175 appears to be the norm.

GT vs RR Betting Tips
A wager on Rajasthan Royals winning this match is in order. There is no doubt that RR has a huge advantage with Jos Buttler in top form, but we also believe that their top order and approach to the T20 game are superior. Up until the Final, GT had been the best team in the IPL 2022, and we expect it to fight hard. There is, however, a distinct quality about RR in the last few matches that seems to be coming together well.
RR’s familiarity with the Narendra Modi Stadium’s conditions stems in part from their previous match there.
The Rajasthan Royals are the team to back.
