DC vs SRH Team Previews

Delhi Capitals

DC’s previous loss to LSG was decided by just six runs, a margin that we believe understates the team’s abilities. The chase had been effectively ended long before any free boundaries had been hit due to some poor choices and decisions made during the batting stint.

So far in the IPL 2022, DC has failed to win two consecutive matches. It must find a way to overcome its inconsistencies. Kuldeep Yadav has been named man of the match in each of DC’s victories thus far, and his importance to the team cannot be overstated.

DC’s bowling options are excellent, but they’re not as diverse as they could be. Axar Patel has been excellent, but Chetan Sakariya, Lalit Yadav, and Shardul Thakur just aren’t dependable enough to be considered a full-time starter. Khaleel Ahmed was surprised to be left out of the team after a strong start, but he may get a chance to play again in the future.

Rovman Powell’s return to form has improved the look of DC’s batting order. It’s a good lower order with him, Axar Patel, and Shardul Thakur that can consistently contribute runs. Shaw, Warner, and Marsh are the top three on paper, followed by Pant and Lalit Yadav in the top two spots.

Despite their lack of firepower, DC’s team appears to have all the pieces in place to win this match.

Rishabh Pant (c & wk), Prithvi Shaw, David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Lalit Yadav, Rovman Powell, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Mustafizur Rahman, Chetan Sakariya.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

SRH lost two matches at the beginning, then won five in a row, then lost two in a row again. While they’re currently in fourth place in the standings and have a respectable net run rate, they’d like to get back on track with a victory.

SRH’s bowling lineup has been the source of all the buzz. In addition to his speed, Umran Malik has shown significant improvement as a bowler. He now holds the record for most IPL wickets taken by an uncapped bowler.

Unfortunately, due to an injury to Washington Sundar, the team will be forced to use Jagadeesh Suchith or the leggie Shreyas Gopal going forward.

DC may be able to exploit this spin bowling option.

Abhishek Sharma, Aiden Markram, and Nicholas Pooran have all been in excellent form for SRH’s batting in recent matches. A couple of quiet games for Rahul Tripathi, but he is not someone you want to write off.

Williamson’s lack of desire to lead the team at the top of the order appears to be the problem.

The team that wins the coin toss will aim to bowl first. In spite of its lack of dew, the Brabourne has a reputation for being difficult to play on.

Brabourne Stadium’s batting conditions have been excellent. It’s not uncommon for a six to be hit approximately every 17 balls when batting first. That means you can expect around 14 sixes per match on average.

Since we’ve had three to four days off between games, expect another good-batting surface where the teams can score freely. It’s possible that the bounce in the pitch will help the fast bowlers of both teams.

DC vs SRH Betting Tips

A wager on Delhi Capitals victory is in order. We believe that DC’s bowling staff is underappreciated, and the team’s batting order is just beginning to blossom. In terms of pace bowling, SRH has the upper hand, but DC’s batsmen appear to be able to handle it and even score quickly off of it.

The Delhi Capitals are the team to back in this one.
